Kiln-formed glass and oxidized brass, with sterling silver backing and 18inch sterling chain. The circular path within this ring is created using rods of glass that are rolled in a fine metal powder. The glass is carefully arranged in a mold, and heated to around 1500 degrees Fahrenheit. The metal oxidizes when heating. The entire piece is black when it comes out of the kiln. The glass is then carved on a lapidary wheel and brought to a satin finish, highlighting the delicate halos of black around each rod of glass. The glass including the bezel measures just a hint over one inch in diameter.
